在這個雨勢稍緩的週末，一位五歲的小女孩跟著爸爸媽媽到山區的廟裡拜拜。
正當爸爸媽媽忙碌之際，小女孩突然指著離地約十公分高的地方，對爸爸說：「爸爸，怎麼會有阿福啊？」
爸爸走過去一看，嚇了一跳。眼前的小蝙蝠全身濕透、眼睛緊緊閉著，一動也不動，爸爸心想：「牠可能已經死掉了。」
就在爸爸低下頭仔細查看時，發現小蝙蝠的一隻手（前肢）竟然被一旁的紙箱夾住了。爸爸小心地將紙箱稍微移開，想先讓牠的手脫困。
就在紙箱移動的那一刻，小蝙蝠竟然輕輕動了一下。
爸爸驚訝地說：「咦！牠還活著！」
於是立刻對家人說：「我們趕快把蝙蝠帶回去，交給專業的團隊照顧吧！」
後來，這隻蝙蝠由台北市蝙蝠保育學會接手照護。經確認，牠是一隻台灣特有亞種的棕蝠，也是一隻仍在學飛的亞成蝠。
推測因為連日降雨、天候不穩，這隻小蝙蝠在學飛過程中與媽媽失散，無法順利返回棲息地，長時間沒有進食，加上全身淋濕，因此變得十分虛弱。
照護的第一天，小蝙蝠幾乎沒有活力，也沒有食慾。到了第二天，牠開始願意進食，精神逐漸恢復，很快便重新成為一隻活力十足的小蝙蝠。
台灣有許多珍貴的原生野生動物。當牠們遇到困難時，只要我們願意多停下腳步、多一點觀察、多一份關心，並以正確的方式尋求專業協助，就有機會改變一個小生命的命運。
而這一切，都從那位五歲小女孩的一句話開始：
「爸爸，怎麼會有阿福啊？」
如果當時她沒有發現，如果爸爸沒有再多看一眼，這隻小蝙蝠或許就沒有機會活下來。
關心、觀察、不打擾；必要時尋求專業協助，每一個善意的選擇，都可能挽救一條生命。

On a weekend when the rain had finally eased, a five-year-old girl visited a mountain temple with her parents.
While her parents were busy, she suddenly pointed to something only about 10 cm above the ground and asked,
"Dad, why is there a bat here?"
Her father walked over and was startled. The little bat was completely soaked, its eyes tightly closed, and it showed no signs of movement. He assumed it had already died.
Looking more carefully, he noticed that one of the bat's forelimbs had become trapped beneath a cardboard box. As he gently moved the box to free it, the bat suddenly made a slight movement.
"It's still alive!" he exclaimed.
The family immediately brought the bat to the Bat Conservation Society of Taipei, where it received professional care.
The bat was identified as the Taiwan endemic subspecies of a brown bat, and it was still a juvenile learning to fly.
Continuous heavy rain had likely separated it from its mother. Unable to return to its roost, the young bat became exhausted, cold, and severely weakened.
On its first day in care, it had almost no energy and refused food. By the second day, however, it began eating again and quickly regained its strength.
Taiwan is home to many remarkable native wildlife species. Sometimes, simply slowing down, paying attention, and asking professionals for help can completely change the fate of a small life.
Everything began with one simple sentence from a five-year-old child:
"Dad, why is there a bat here?"
If she had not noticed the bat, and if her father had not taken a closer look, this young bat might never have survived.
Observe with care. Respect wildlife. Seek professional assistance when needed. Every act of kindness has the power to save a life.
If you wish, you can be a little hero for bats.
To the best of our knowledge, this five-year-old girl may be the youngest child in Taiwan known to have helped discover and successfully rescue a bat.
Thank you for reminding us that even the smallest act of kindness can give a wild animal a second chance.

あなたもコウモリの小さなヒーローになれます
雨が少し弱まった週末、5歳の女の子が家族と一緒に山のお寺を訪れました。
両親がお参りをしているとき、女の子は地面から約10センチほどの場所を指差し、
「お父さん、どうしてここにコウモリがいるの？」
と声をかけました。
父親が近づいてみると、その小さなコウモリは全身が雨で濡れ、目を閉じたまま全く動いていませんでした。最初は、もう死んでしまったのだと思いました。
しかし、よく見ると片方の前肢が段ボール箱に挟まれていました。父親がそっと箱を動かして前肢を外そうとした瞬間、コウモリがわずかに動いたのです。
「まだ生きている！」
家族はすぐに**台北市コウモリ保育学会（Bat Conservation Society of Taipei）**へ連絡し、専門的な保護を受けることになりました。
このコウモリは台湾固有亜種のコウモリの幼獣で、まだ飛ぶ練習をしている途中でした。
長く続いた雨の影響で母親とはぐれ、ねぐらへ戻れず、体力を失い衰弱していたと考えられます。
保護初日はほとんど動かず、餌も食べませんでした。しかし2日目には食べ始め、少しずつ元気を取り戻し、再び活発な子コウモリになりました。
台湾には多くの貴重な野生動物が暮らしています。少し立ち止まり、よく観察し、必要なときには専門家へつなぐことが、小さな命を救うことにつながります。
すべては、5歳の女の子の一言から始まりました。
「お父さん、どうしてここにコウモリがいるの？」
もし彼女が気づかなかったら、もし父親がもう一度よく見なかったら、この小さなコウモリは助からなかったかもしれません。
野生動物を見守り、無理に触れず、必要なときは専門家へ相談しましょう。一つひとつの優しい行動が、大切な命を救います。

私たちの知る限り、この5歳の女の子は、台湾でコウモリの発見と救護に関わった最年少の子どもかもしれません。
